Mike Morris joined North Castle in 2006, bringing more than 30 years of IT, operations, and business management experience to our portfolio companies. Over the last 20 years, he has developed an expertise in consumer and retail industries and in related disciplines, including supply chain management, warehouse operations and logistics, customer relationship management (CRM), retail operations, e-commerce, and social media, in addition to his deep IT background. Mike assists in the due diligence and operating blueprint development for North Castle portfolio companies, with a focus on infrastructure investments. He also provides project management services to North Castle companies as needed to ensure the successful implementation of IT and associated investments. In addition, Mike has been embedded in various portfolio companies as a temporary executive to supplement existing management teams. Prior to joining North Castle, he served as a Chief Information Officer, as well as other senior operational roles, for a number of small, regional, entrepreneurial companies that grew to become well recognized national brands, including the Vitamin Shoppe and JCREW. In addition, Mike served in similar capacities for the Leslie Fay Companies and KASPER Suits, has held senior technology positions at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals (now Novartis), Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated, and Arthur Andersen, and served on the Board of Directors of Performance Bicycle. Mike earned a degree in Political Science from the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut and an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
