Operating Advisors Pamela Peeke, M.D., M.P.H., FACP Operating Advisor Pamela Peeke, M.D., M.P.H., a Pew Foundation Scholar in Nutrition and Metabolism, is an internationally recognized expert and speaker in the fields of nutrition and stress and integrative medicine. Dr. Peeke is the New York Times bestselling author of Fight Fat after Forty, Body for Life for Women and Fit to Live. Dr. Peeke is a frequent advisor to the food and fitness industry. Dr. Peeke is Chief Medical Correspondent for Discover Health TV, where she is the host of the award winning National Body Challenge, and the new Fit to Live series. As a senior research fellow, Dr. Peeke studied the effect of chronic stress at the National Institute of Health (NIH), where she received the National Research Science Award Fellowship and the Intramural Research Training Award Fellowship. She was also the first senior research fellow at the NIH's Office of Alternative Medicine, and is currently advisor to the NIH Office of Women's Research. Dr. Peeke is assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and adjunct senior scientist at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Peeke has been recognized as one of the leading physicians in America by the NIK and the American Council of Consumers. In 2001, Dr. Peeke joined North Castle as an Operating Advisor, where her extensive expertise has helped to shape the firm's investments in four industry verticals: fitness & recreation, nutrition, consumer health and aesthetics & personal care. A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Dr. Peeke received dual master's degrees in public health and public policy and an M.D. from the University of Michigan. She completed her training at George Washington University and is board certified in internal medicine and is a fellow of the American College of Physicians.
