Monty Sharma

Monty Sharma has been an integral part of the North Castle team since 1999. Monty has significant experience in consumer packaged goods and has served as CEO at three successful North Castle portfolio companies.

Most recently, Monty was President and CEO at Atkins where in partnership with North Castle he assembled a ten member senior management team to establish the infrastructure to rebuild the iconic Atkins brand and drive growth. Under his leadership, Atkins doubled sales and tripled earnings in three years, reformulated and relaunched all of the company's products, and repositioned the brand as a diet program leading to the successful sale of the company in 2010.

From 2005-2007, Monty was the CEO of Naked Juice Company. During his tenure, the company doubled sales and was the fastest growing premium refrigerated juice brand moving into the number one share position from fourth in only 18 months. Based on the successful strategy and execution which rebranded Naked Juice, increased distribution and streamlined the supply chain, the company was sold to PepsiCo. After serving as CFO and COO at EAS from 1999 to 2003, Monty was promoted to President and CEO of EAS where he doubled sales and led the company's successful strategic sale to Abbott Laboratories.

Monty was the recipient of the NCP CEO of the Year Award in 2004, 2008 and 2009 for his contributions to success of each of these North Castle investments. Monty held other senior leadership positions at Brunswick Corporation and Roadmaster Corporation. Monty holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Calcutta, and a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Business Administration from Southern Illinois University.
