Operating Advisors John McCarthy Operating Advisor John McCarthy, a founding Executive Director of the International Health, Racquet, and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA), the largest trade association in the world for the health club industry representing 7,000 member clubs across four continents, has been the face of the Health and Fitness Club industry for 25 years. During his tenure at IHRSA, he created four magazines for the industry: Club Business International, Club Business Europe, Club Business Latin America and Club Business Entrepreneur and developed the largest fitness-only trade show in the world. Mr. McCarthy will apply his years of experience, knowledge and network developed over his 25 years as IHRSA's Executive Director to North Castle's Fitness and Recreation vertical. Mr. McCarthy currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cybex International, Inc., a leading exercise equipment manufacturer and the Marquette Bank Corporation, a group of Chicago-area banks. He is also on the Board of Overseers of the Boston College Law School and is a volunteer at Massachusetts General Hospital. Mr. McCarthy is a graduate of Notre Dame, holds a MBA from Boston College.
