Douglas W. Lehrman

Douglas Lehrman joined North Castle founder Chip Baird as an original Managing Director in 1998 bringing more than 20 years of experience in the leveraged buyout business, focusing on growth-oriented companies.

Mr. Lehrman helped guide the creation, development and realization of investments in three North Castle platform companies: Grand Expeditions, CRC Health and Equinox Fitness. Today, Mr. Lehrman is leading North Castle's effort in the development and execution of investment opportunities in North Castle's Fitness and Recreation as well as Consumer Health verticals. Mr. Lehrman has primary responsibility for North Castle's investments in Performance Bicycle and World Health Club and is an active member of the Boards.

Prior to North Castle, he provided financing and advisory services for more than 50 transactions with approximately $8 billion of aggregate transaction value. Mr. Lehrman was a Managing Director and head of the Financial Sponsor Group at Warburg Dillon Read, LLC. He also served as Managing Director in the high yield group of Nomura Securities International, Inc. and has held positions at Lazard Frères & Co., LLC, Drexel Burnham Lambert Incorporated and Oppenheimer & Co., Inc.

Mr. Lehrman received a B.A. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis and an M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
