Dennis "DJ" Jenson joins North Castle Partners with 25 years of leadership and brand-building experience in lifestyle consumer products across a range of sectors, with an intense focus in both the action sports and outdoor segments. Throughout his career, he has worked to build and grow market-leading global brands including Burton Snowboards, Timberland and Timbuk2.
Mr. Jenson began his career as a Marketing Manager with McDonald's Corporation, but eventually made the choice to follow his passion and pursue a path centered on products/brands/lifestyles that were of significant personal interest. From 1990 to 2003, Mr. Jenson served as SVP/Marketing and President of Burton Snowboards--helping to grow the business from a $12 million single-product company to a $500 million portfolio of iconic lifestyle brands. Most recently, Mr. Jenson merged his personal environmental/sustainability interests with business and served as VP of Business Development and Licensing for Timberland (NYSE: TBL).
Mr. Jenson currently serves on the Boards of Black Diamond Equipment, New Belgium Brewing and 1% For The Planet. He also provides advisory services to a range of consumer products brands including 3M (NYSE: MMM), Shock Doctor and Maclean Quality Composites.
Mr. Jenson earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management along with continued executive education at University of Pennsylvania, Wharton.
